- Commercial Law: Company law, labour law: shareholders’ rights, workers’ rights. What’s the impact of EU law? What happens in the boardroom? International business contracts are the focus in this top-notch programme.
Maritime & Transport Law: By focusing on current developments and practical problems from a comparative law perspective, students develop an international outlook on and understanding of the many legal aspects of shipping and the transportation of goods. Based in the port of Rotterdam, this programme educates legal professionals that are well prepared to meet the many problems and challenges that arise from the maritime and transport industry.
- International and European Public Law: Assess the impact of these two spheres on national legal orders, and on the promotion, e.g., of rights and accountability. Analyse changes, and go on to a career in public affairs or the academy.
- Business, Corporate and Maritime Law: Lawyers have to interact between national and international regulatory environments and negotiate and structure business transactions across countries. If you are a lawyer who is interested in this dynamic international world, you can pursue your ambitions with this postgraduate Master’s programme.

Testimonial
Talent and ambition unite at Erasmus University Rotterdam. The LL.M. Business, Corporate and Maritime Law is a meeting-point for like-minded professionals from around the world. My peers are established lawyers, functioning as legislatures, holding diplomatic posts and managing law firms. We are encouraged to exchange ideas and contribute, which results in profound and fruitful discussions that sometimes persist even after the lectures. Needless to say, the academic strength and encouragement of the university’s world-renowned lecturers is unmatched. Rotterdam scholars stand out due to their hand-on experience. Lecturers hold prestigious posts and occupy honorary positions on boards and committees in their respective fields of interest. Such first-class instruction ensures that this LL.M. programme is second to none.Raine Pulkkinen (Finland)
